Since 2004, Pole at Play has been a place where kindred spirits can let their hair down, slip into a pair of stilettos and shake their booties to their heart's content!

Prepackaged snacks, bottled water, and seltzer will be available for purchase before the show and during intermission.
Pole at Play is an inclusive, sex-positive, body-positive, welcoming and playful space. Our students/performers come in all colors, shapes, sizes, ages, gender identities, sexual orientations, religious affiliations, you name it! We do not tolerate any forms of shaming, bigoted, or bullying behavior. Guests are welcome to hoot, holler, whistle, cheer and, of course, show some extra love by making it rain on our dancers
A few words about our performance:
The subject matter of this showcase is a satirical commentary on the toxic nature of religious extremism. It is not mocking God or anyone who believes in God. It IS mocking people who use God as a way to oppress, hurt, and disenfranchise others. The “God Hates F@G$” folks, the crooked politicians who twist the Bible to justify attacking members of the LGBTQ+ community and women’s bodily autonomy, the “Christian” and “catholic” individuals who twisted the Bible to justify the torture and execution of those they deemed witches (primarily women) in order to steal their property and discourage them from practicing midwifery and holistic natural medicine, the colonizers who twisted the Bible to justify wiping out entire populations of indigenous people and stealing their land. The “God” we are mocking in our showcase is their god — the god of money, greed, oppression, intolerance, misogyny, homophobia, racism, fascism, hate.
The Adam in our showcase represents their ideal man and his values — a man-baby with a fragile ego who uses God to justify his treatment of women, who expects women to serve his every need and fulfill his every desire, who believes he’s entitled to sex because he’s a man but who can’t be bothered to shower or brush the Cheeto crumbs from his beard.
If they can twist the Bible to justify their abuse and righteousness, we can twist the Bible to mock them. And that’s what this is.
We understand the profound, comforting and healing impact on one’s life that a relationship with the creator can have— whether it be with God, a Goddess, the Universe, a higher power, Mother Nature, etc. The showcase is not meant to make a mockery of that relationship or anyone’s creator.

For 20 years, Pole at Play has served the Olympia community by teaching its members how to shamelessly strut, spin, and shake their booties. And we wouldn’t have made it here if it weren’t for the loyal support of our caring, quirky, beautiful, and bad ass little pole family! We Finally Found Our
There isn't a pole on the market that Pole at Play hasn't taken for a spin. From powder-coated plumbing pipes to high-end commercial spinner poles, we've tried them all. And while each one taught us something about ourselves and supported us on our pole journey, we just couldn't shake this feeling that we had not yet met THE ONE -- our "soul pole" that would be our "happily ever after".
That is, until we met a sexy Slovenian pole named Lupit. This nickel-free chrome finished pole swept us off our feet! We immediately fell head over stripper heels in love with Lupit's strong, sturdy build, dependability, resilience, and ingenuity. (And did we mention sexy?)
We've been together now for nearly 2 years and our love grows stronger each day. Lupit is stoic, goes with the flow, and never lets us down. It's safe to say, we've found our soul pole!
